EVMS Strelitz Diabetes Center

It¹s estimated that 500,000 men, women and children in Virginia are living with diabetes, and Hampton Roads is a hotspot for the disease. If the present trend continues, as many as one in three American adults will have diabetes in 2050. EVMS is here to help. We have brought together the ideal experts scientists, clinicians and educators to discover ways to treat the debilitating complications and, ultimately, to find a cure. We are leading the fight against diabetes in our own community. Research discoveries and treatment breakthroughs made here hold promise for improving lives not only in Hampton Roads but around the world. To join the fight, please visit http://www.evms.edu/diabetes or contact Laurie Harrison at 446-6047.
